Prof. B. S. Satyanarayana holds a Ph. D from Dept of Engineering, University of Cambridge, UK. He has now joined G D Goenka University, Gurgaon. As Vice Chancellor. His nearly 38 years of experience includes working in entrepreneurial ventures, R&D & Innovation enabling environments, building new teams, heading and transforming diverse organisations. All the dozen+ major projects he has been involved in the last three decades called for entrepreneurial, innovative and start up mode pursuits. Thus, leading to setting up of start-ups, new universities, state of art and indigenous new technology labs/groups, creating compliance process for standrads and change management. He also worked as the Advisor in the Environment, Science & Technology Office of the Embassy of the Government of USA, in India and contributed to Indo-US dialogue & partnership. He has worked in industry, R&D, Academic, Consultancy & Diplomatic environments in India, Japan and UK and with partners in USA, EU, China, S. Korea, Singapore and Russia.
In his previous position as the founder Vice Chancellor of C V Raman Global University, in a new 2.5-year-old university they created and implemented one of India’s first holistic plan for implementation of as NEP 2020, linking skill and knowledge seamlessly using a new pedagogy, with a multidisciplinary experiential learning based approach. This involved curating & linking 25 advanced industry-based skill labs, established in line with world skills and facilitating project-based learning. Especially leverage it for an integrated way of enabling R&D, Innovation and entrepreneurial culture in faculty and students, along with mandatory employable competence. Then as a Freelance consultant he supported many industry, Academics and R&D organisations on diverse issues. These includes Strategy, Innovation, Manufacturing 4.0 for Atma Nirbhartha & Change Management (Product /Process / People), ESG, Sustainability & Circular Economy, Capacity Building though L&D, Higher Education & Skilling, NEP2020 Implementation and Compliance (Standards or Accreditation).
